For security reasons, a lost or forgotten Personal Identification Code (PIC) cannot be recovered. There are two ways to reset the PIC for your MapleStory account: though the MapleStory website or the Nexon Launcher.
The PIC reset process on the MapleStory website can also be initiated from within the MapleStory Character Select screen.
Please make sure that you are signed in to the correct account before resetting the PIC. If you run into an issue resetting the PIC, you may be logging in to the wrong account. This can also happen to Steam users, especially when the email address on the Nexon account is different from the email address on the Steam account.
Note: If you experience an issue resetting your PIC, please try the troubleshooting steps listed here.
